About Emma Voss

Hi, I’m Emma.

I have a psychology degree, half a PhD, and I’ve sat on the floor of a university bathroom convinced I was dying — heart hammering, vision tunneling, absolutely certain something was catastrophically wrong.

It was a panic attack. My first of many.

The irony wasn’t lost on me. I’d spent three years studying the human mind and still couldn’t recognise what was happening in my own body. I withdrew from my PhD program in 2018, not because I couldn’t handle the academics, but because my world had quietly shrunk to the size of my flat.

The next four years were the real education.

I read everything — clinical literature, NIMH guidelines, every meta-analysis on CBT and panic I could find. I worked with a therapist. I tried breathing techniques that felt ridiculous and then started working. I learned what actually helps and what’s just noise packaged in wellness branding.

PanicPeace is what I wish had existed in 2018. No fake calm. No oversimplification. Just clear, evidence-backed information from someone who has genuinely been through it.

I’m not a licensed therapist. If you’re in crisis, please reach out to a professional. But if you want to understand what’s happening in your body and find tools that actually work — you’re in the right place.
